What does skincare mean to you?
Skincare means keeping your skin and skin barrier healthy. That is the goal in taking care of your skin.
Tell us about your skin and your skincare routine.
My skin care routine doesn't have as many steps as some others have. My routine differs in the morning and night. At night is where I take my time and really let the products sink in and do their job. First I start with a balm cleanser to remove makeup and move on to a mild cleanser I really love the Match Hemp cleanser from Krave beauty. After those steps I will move on to a toner from Indie Lee. Something else I have been liking is the No7 serum and working from the neck up is how I apply that serum. Then I follow up with a moisture. I also like to let a few mins in between each step so my products have some time to really sink into my skin.
What is one product you can't live without?
I think I wouldn't be able to live without my cleanser. It's just that feeling of having fresh clean skin that makes you feel so great.
Can you let us in on a skincare tip you swear by?
I always say sunscreen!! Sunscreen is such an important part of skincare. You can't see the harm that is happening to your skin and having that gorgeous sun kissed glow is something that is appealing but it is so damaging. Skin care isn't just about what you are applying to your face. So even when you are in a car driving, apply sunscreen to the back of your hand to keep that skin safe. And making sure your drinking enough water! Your skin will thank you.
What is a bad skin day for you?
Having a bad skin day means I have been eating junk and not drinking enough water. Or my body is telling me my body is changing for a new cycle. I can always tell by the acne I can get in the same places every month.
What would you do if you only had 5 minutes to get ready?
I would start with a water rinse, moisture and sunscreen. Then I would do eyeliner and mascara and honest tinted lip balm.
